Systems Engineer & Artist

Engineer, artist, activist and professor. Born in 1984 in Buenos Aires, she has been interested in art and technology since she was a child. She studied Information Systems Engineering at UTN and, at the same time, attended a private visual arts workshop. Later, with the idea of combining both worlds, she completed a Master's degree in Technology and Aesthetics of Electronic Arts at UNTREF.

In 2017, together with other colleagues, she started the transfeminist community of technology "[LAS] de sistemas", which since 2018 organizes the technology and feminism conference FemIT conf, declared of interest by the Buenos Aires legislature.

She has 16 years of experience in the private sector of the software industry. She has carried out various developments with social impact in collaboration with different organizations and produced his own electronic art projects. She has also given various workshops on technology and has been a speaker at various conferences.

Currently, she works as a professor of Introduction to Programming (MAE UNTREF) and as an independent Software Engineer.

As an artist who uses technology, she has developed some projects that seek to reflect on the use of algorithms and gender inequality. She is presently researching the relationship between error, identity, body and algorithms for her master's thesis in electronic arts and experimenting together with a dancer in the project [cuerpo_código].
